Don Camillo in Soltau

The food was really good, but the treatment by the staff was just terrible. Obviously they wanted to drive us out of their restaurant. Particularly nasty because, for example, the next table could enjoy normal service. Apparently you can be lucky that they think you are appropriate, but if not I don't wish anyone such a restaurant evening ....

Danger! Better to only go to this restaurant in a tuxedo. Here the waiters scare away guests whose clothes don't suit them. I was obviously there with the wrong clothes (T-shirt) and wrong hairstyle (man with ponytail). The waiters systematically ignored us, "forgot" to serve parts of the meal and left us waiting 30 minutes for the bill. All guests who came after us were served before us. We were quiet, polite, and friendly. The only way I can explain the behavior is that we didn't look good to the waiters. The food was quite good - but you don't want to be treated like that.

It couldn't be better. A restaurant run with love and passion. Courteous service in a sophisticated Mediterranean ambience, combined with excellent food, ensure maximum satisfaction for the guest. Definitely to be recommended!

A team that puts its heart and soul behind its gastronomic concept. Both the kitchen and the service do an excellent job. Italian cuisine is duly represented, from pizza to pasta to meat and fish. Despite all this, the menu is not overloaded and the food is of good quality. The visit is rounded off with a balanced drinks menu where everyone gets their money's worth. A great restaurant, gladly again!

A very well located and cozy restaurant. Unfortunately, everything took far too long. We would have liked to have spent more money, but it took a lot of patience to refill the glasses. The food was ok. We saw outside. Unfortunately, the rattling in the kitchen was very annoying. A little music might help here.

Unfortunately we can't comment on the food. We tried to reserve a table by phone during opening hours. But landed 2 times only on the answering machine. When we asked for a table on site, only the unfriendly statement came that there had to be a free table outside in the corner. The question about an indoor table was unfriendly and sullenly answered in the negative. But there are also other restaurants in Soltau. We were greeted and served very friendly in a small pizzeria nearby. The food was excellent there.

Nice restaurant in the pedestrian zone. There was a lot going on that evening and therefore everything was a bit mixed up. When we ordered everything went very quickly. Pizza was good, not too big, but it was enough for us. Service was friendly and tried hard.

Typical Italian pizzeria in the town center. Very tasty pizzas and the bruschetta can only be recommended. Value for money is definitely right and the staff is very friendly.

Unfortunately not to be recommended. Too much tomato sauce on the pizza and the dough will be totally mushy towards the middle. I know pizza bases are more crispy. Spaghetti too firm to the bite and the sauce lacked the oomph. The salad for 14 € tastes like homemade with vegetables from the discounter ... The service seemed overwhelmed. Wasn't a nice dinner.

If you want authentic Italian food... this is the place to go. Delicious.

Classic Italian in a rustic building. In any case, pre-order a table as there is not much space and the restaurant is well attended. The pizza has a crispy base, the pasta dishes are juicy. Lasagna is particularly recommended. But be careful: it is served hot.

One of the best restaurants I went in Soltau. Great food, cozy place, super friendly waiters and cashiers. Also really honest prices, if not even cheap for the quality offered. Had such a great time that went twice on a day. Congrats for the staff, and cheers from Brazil!

Really lovely place. Service always nice and helpful. Food is excelent! Fresh and with great flavour. Noodles everytime al'dente! You have to try not only what's on the menu but for sure, the special which are written down on a boards, or just ask the waiterw what they would suggest. We are looking forward to our next visit! 🥰

I really liked the food. I had the swordfish capacio with lemon sauce as entry and the tuna Sicily for mains. Most times Tuna ends up being dry...this not. outside Was crisp and grilled and inside pink and juicy. Wine selection is a bit small but what they serve is pretty OK.
